SKATEYOGI has taught skateboarding out of its Prospect Lefferts Gardens space since being founded 13 years ago with two Brooklyn locations. Weekly classes run from Juniors (ages 3-6) through a combined Kids and Teens series (ages 5-15), covering stance, pushing, turning, stopping, and skatepark etiquette in an open-level, no-rules format the school describes as an ego-free zone. Beyond weekly classes, SKATEYOGI runs school-holiday day camps for kids 5 to 14 and offers private lessons on-site. The New York Times highlighted the school for its flexible week-by-week summer camps and after-school programming.
